Surface material and finish
Smooth, pebbled, textured and woven surfaces all appear across the four styles. The exact material, temper and finish are confirmed with a physical swatch, since a screen cannot show how a strap edge will wear.

Crossbody & shoulder bag category
These are the long-strap formats that sit between handbags and backpacks in the range we produce: a body compact enough to ride at the hip, a strap long enough to keep both hands free, and a closure that can be worked one-handed. Four crossbody and shoulder styles are documented here, each with its own page.
What this category covers
A crossbody or shoulder bag is worn rather than put down, and that single fact reshapes the design. The body has to sit flat against the wearer once the strap is under load, the closure has to work with one hand, and the strap anchors carry the entire weight of the bag instead of sharing it with a base. The four styles below show the bodies, straps, clasps and panel work held in this category.

Strap drop, body dimensions, lining, hardware grade and how far a strap adjusts are not fixed by these photographs. Each is agreed in writing per project, and a strap drop should always be checked on a prototype worn by the intended user rather than estimated from a picture.

Choosing inside the category
Crossbody inquiries rarely arrive with a model code. They arrive with a wearer, a contents list and a use. These five areas cover what has to be settled before a prototype is cut — written as general guidance, not as fixed specifications.
Where a brief does not fit one of these areas, we develop around it. The list is a starting point, not the limit of what can be produced.
Strap drop is measured from the shoulder to the top of the bag, not along the strap itself. A short drop holds the body under the arm for a shoulder carry; a longer one places it at the hip so both hands stay free. Over a coat the same strap behaves differently, which is why a fixed length rarely suits a whole market.
Measure the drop on a wearer in the clothing they would normally use, then check the bag both over a coat and under one.

These four bags are the styles held in this category. Each is shown in its own customer photograph; open a style to read its design notes, general uses and the details our team confirms before an order.
About the photography
One customer photograph per style, shown whole and uncropped, so the strap, closure and surface read as they are.

These styles from the handbag collection also show a crossbody or shoulder strap in their own photographs, so each keeps its separate catalogue page. Use them when you need a strap-led shape beyond the four styles above.
Please note
Style names are descriptive labels, not model codes. Confirm the strap drop and finish with our team before ordering.
The remaining handbag styles are held on the handbag category page. A top-handle shape without a strap can often be developed with one, but the anchors have to be built into the pattern.

The same body can serve a retail shelf, a travel assortment and a private label programme. What changes is the strap specification and the details around it, not the pattern itself.

A long-strap body is the easiest style to sell across ages, because the same pattern can be worn at the hip or shortened to the shoulder. Buying usually starts from how many strap lengths and body sizes the shelf can carry, not from a single hero colour.
Agree the strap drop range, the body sizes per drop and which hardware finish runs across the group.
A hands-free bag earns its place in a travel assortment when it packs flat, holds a passport and a phone at the front and can be worn under a jacket. Cabin rules usually matter less here than how the strap behaves when the bag is empty.
Check the packed-flat shape, whether the strap tucks in, and which pocket holds the documents.
A compact body shows branding in a concentrated area, so the clasp, the strap tab and the lining are where a private label reads. Artwork and placement on a small panel need earlier approval than on a tote, because there is less room to move it.
Sign off logo scale, clasp or tab placement and label format before the first prototype.
One pattern repeated across several finishes can carry a capsule range without new tooling. Buyers often build a crossbody family beside a tote or satchel programme so the range shares hardware and edge finishing.
Decide which components stay identical across the family and which change with each finish.
Supported specifications
Six areas are agreed on every strap-led project. Details outside them are discussed rather than assumed.
Smooth, pebbled, textured and woven surfaces all appear across the four styles. The exact material, temper and finish are confirmed with a physical swatch, since a screen cannot show how a strap edge will wear.
Nothing on this page fixes centimetres. Body width, depth and height follow the contents, and the strap drop is set for the intended wearer, then checked on a worn prototype rather than scaled from a photograph.
Fixed, adjustable or detachable straps are drawn for the brief, together with the width, the edge finish and the anchor type. A detachable strap needs its clips and rings specified as a matched pair.
Clasps, turn locks, magnetic closures, zips and pullers are agreed with their finish. One-handed opening is checked on a prototype, because a stiff flap or a sharp clasp only appears in use.
Lining colour, card slots, a slip pocket and whether the body is divided are set per project. None of these can be inferred from a catalogue photograph, so they are agreed in writing.
Embossing, woven labels, hang tags, tassels and individual wrapping are agreed as one group, with artwork approved before production and any destination-market requirement listed in the brief.
Visible in the photographs
Body shape, strap arrangement, closure type, hardware tone and the surface as photographed. These are the details our team can discuss against a specific style page.
Agreed per project
Strap drop, dimensions, lining, interior pockets, hardware grade, branding, packing and certification requirements. None of these should be inferred from a catalogue photograph alone.
Category questions
Questions buyers raise most often about this category. If yours is not here, ask us directly rather than guessing from a photograph.
Ask the teamOpen the style's own page and send the inquiry from there, or email our team with the style name. Each page carries that product's authorised photograph, so the construction, dimensions and finish can be confirmed against the same image you are looking at.
The photographs show one finish each: three black bags and one brown. Other colourways, body sizes and strap drops are development questions rather than catalogue options. Tell us what you need and our design team will confirm what the pattern supports.
The difference is the strap drop. A shoulder bag sits under the arm on a shorter strap; a crossbody bag carries the body across the torso on a longer one. Where a strap adjusts through both lengths, the same style can serve either use — which is often the most flexible choice for a retail range.
Yes, within what the pattern supports. Tell us the wearer, the contents and the drop you want; our design team will confirm which parts can be adjusted and which ones change the pattern itself. A detachable strap is usually the simplest change.
Often it can, and several styles elsewhere in the range already show a detachable or adjustable strap — the cream satchel, the oval-clasp flap, the circular-lock flap and the mustard mini tote among them. Adding a strap to a style that has none is a development question, because the anchors have to be built into the pattern.
